No doubt you have heard that Bear Valley is replacing Bear Chair with a new, high speed “six pack” lift that is planned to be in operation at the start of the season. The lift will terminate about 50 ft. beyond the Bear Chair top giving even easier access to the backside. We can’t wait to check it out!
Aaron Johnson and Jeff Millar are hard at work planning for the new season. Team sign ups have been brisk with almost 250 team members already signed up across all teams. Let’s hope for another great snow year!
We are also in the process of preparing for the upcoming race season. Bear Valley has been awarded a Far West U14 Regional Qualifier SL race that will take place on January 27 and 28, 2018. We should see about 170 racers from Tahoe and the rest of the Far West for this exciting event which will take place on the challenging Feather Duster run.
We will be announcing dates for the annual Ski Swap, Team Kick-Off meeting and other events in the near future.
