The Silver Ski Race is held over the weekend of January 29nd and 30th at the
Badger Pass Ski Resort located in the beautiful Yosemite National Park. This race is
a two SL race event. There were close to 80 competitors registered for the 2-day
event to race for the top positions.

In addition to the Yosemite Winter Club racers, athletes came from Dodge Ridge,
Bear Valley, China Peak, and Sky Tavern. Women and Men competitors comprised 5
age categories with the top five places being awarded in each.  Complete Results can be
viewed here for Saturday and here for Sunday.

The Yosemite Winter Club awards the fastest Women’s and Men’s competitors
with a gorgeous trophy and the winners’ names get forever engraved on a silver
placket. This is why it is called The Silver Ski award. To win you have to have the
fastest combined time from both days. This season’s winners are Elise Fowler of
Bear Valley and Peter Fowler of Bear Valley, a sister and brother duo.

There could not have been more perfect weather on Saturday and Sunday. Both
days were sunny and warm. The coaches and kids seemed happy that the snow held
up nicely.

The next USSA Far West Central Series races are Dodge Ridge, Feb 12th and 13th,
and China Peak Feb, 26th and 27th.
