I am honored to take on the role of BVSF president and I really appreciate this opportunity to support the Bear Valley community. Over the past 10 years, Bear Valley has become my favorite place to be year round. My two kids have been on teams from Kodiak to All-Mountain to Race Devo and now Race Team (U14 and U18), and my husband (Coach Mikael) has also coached here for much of that time. I have been on the BVSF board for 3 years now, most recently as Secretary, and also served as the Race Administrator for the last three Rasmussen Classic races.
I want to give a huge thanks to our outgoing President Mike Comstock. He has done amazing work over the past two years as president to develop and grow the board, which has been key to what we’ve been able to accomplish and to the exciting things we have planned for the next year. Thanks to his work, we have two new members of our all-star board: Ang Roberts and Mike Gilmore, both of whom have been race and all-mountain parents for a while.
I’m excited to be working with this great team and looking forward to using my experience in non-profit and operations leadership to continue to grow the impact BVSF has on supporting all of our snow sports athletes.
